June was a month of steady growth and strategic updates at RŌL Academy, serving as the perfect buildup for a jam-packed July. On the youth side, we officially rolled out the exciting schedule changes announced in May, enhancing our RŌL Kids Program with the launch of Teens Fundamentals and Teens Striking. These new classes provide our older students with more focused training opportunities to support both foundational development and well-rounded martial arts skills.
We also introduced a brand-new RŌL Kids Competition Class, specially designed for young athletes with the passion and drive to take their Jiu Jitsu to the next level. This class creates a space for our most motivated students to sharpen their skills and prepare for future competitions with intention and intensity.
On the adult side, we added a "White Belt Must Know" class, offering a structured path for our beginner students as they work toward earning new stripes or preparing for their blue belt promotions. This new class ensures that every white belt has the tools and confidence they need to level up.
The highlight of the month came with a visit from Professor Mike Mahaffey, who led a technical and inspiring seminar that focused on the often-overlooked details that make all the difference in high-level Jiu Jitsu. His presence left a lasting impression—and his signature now proudly joins the others on our Black Belt Wall of Fame.
June may have moved at a slower pace, but it was the calm before the storm. With new classes launched, energy high, and big events on the horizon, July is set to deliver in a big way.
