October was a month full of connection, purpose, and community at ROL Academy, bringing together high-level training, meaningful causes, and unforgettable moments for our kids and families. Each week offered something special, making October one of the most well-rounded months of the year.
We kicked off the month on October 4th with a powerful seminar led by Jesse Walker, who brought technical depth and fresh perspective to the mats. His instruction challenged students to think critically about their movement and approach, setting the tone for a month rooted in growth and learning.
On October 11th, our community came together for Tap Cancer Out, one of the most meaningful events of the year. From competitors stepping onto the mats to families cheering them on, the day was filled with heart, resilience, and unity—showcasing what it truly means to be part of the ROL family.
Mid-month, we turned the spotlight to our youth program with Bring a Friend to Jiu Jitsu Day on October 18th. ROL Kids had the chance to invite friends to experience the fun, discipline, and teamwork that make our academy special. The mats were full of laughter, excitement, and new faces getting their first taste of Jiu Jitsu.
We closed out the month with one of the most anticipated kids events of the year—the ROL Kids Halloween Party on October 25th. Costumes filled the academy as students enjoyed games, food, a Halloween-themed movie, and plenty of festive fun. It was the perfect way to end the month, celebrating our kids and the joyful energy they bring to the academy.
October was a beautiful blend of training, community, and celebration. As we head into the next month, we’re grateful for the memories made and the continued dedication of every student and family who makes RŌL Academy feel like home.
